My Music

I started with art as a musician. Playing music is still a very important part of my life. Recently, I've been playing sitar and guitar alone and haven't been recording, but I'm working on changing that. This may be mushy, but when playing music you are really present in the moment and I love that. Below are selections of what I've been playing in various times in my life.

Video Game Covers

I love video game music. Playing it is a lot of fun too!
Mega Man 4 - Dust Man Recorded with VikingGuitar in Winter 2009 using an awesome home recording setup.
Tetris Attack Recorded with 8-4 (Justin ?, Ted ?, Sean Twohig and I) in ~2005.

Improvizations (2002-2006)

During this period, I was really into making melodies. I was reacting pretty hard against the jazz greats and their too many notes and predefined runs. As usual, Sean Twohig played amazingly on percussion and synth.
Improve A very listenable fusion track between Sean and I. Recorded in Paradise Studios in 2004.
Epinnocence This is a 10 minute piece recorded at the Meni Recordings (in our condo at the time...) it features me on acoustic guitar, and Sean Twohig on a Roland Juno-60 and udu. It's pretty.
Sick Groove 1 Recorded with 8-4 (Justin ? (Juno-60), Sean Twohig (electric drums) and I (guitar)) in ~2005. A classic.
Groove for Them A very long track with many layers that was put together after the tragic tsunami of 2004. Recorded in Paradise Studios.
The Dragonfly Another very long track with many layers. This one is about a dragonfly. Recorded in Paradise Studios in 2004.

Assorted

This is a collection of recordings that I've made that span many genres. Some may be marginally offensive, and many are hilarious (to me at least).
Smooth Jazz Reggae Title says it all.
Intro for Steel and Stone: 2099 The title track and smash hit from Steel and Stone: 2099 (my most ambitious film project ever!).
Smoothie Pie A song about my life c. 2006 in the style of the high life genre.
